Maxi Meeting

Recently a few of us met at the Fruit Shop on Greams Road in Annanagar. Look for the minutes of the meeting in the  next blog.

Please remember that room booking at MGM will end on 10th July, 2009. However people who wish to attend the 8th August , 2009 dinner can pay the DD as mentioned earlier.  This collection will go on till end of July.

The Niggles

So the cricket saga continues. Today we heard from Mr Dhoni - Don't hide injuries. Apparently the players have been pretending to be fully fit so that they could play in the first eleven. Further he said - If rest is the cure for injury , a cricketer ought to opt for it rather than let fatigue or NIGGLE become a major setback for him and to the team.

That brings us to the niggle . Since i am not sure of this condition , I thought I will send out a consult to  the surgical colleagues in our class (I think its a surgical problem). We need more information . Could this be corrected by minimally invasive surgery? Hope to get comments from the 24 followers of the blog and the thousands of readers across the globe.

Rooms

The MGM resort has given us time to pay for the event. However we need to give exact number of rooms required, shortly. So if anyone want us to book rooms for their stay; please do so by July 10 th, 2009. 

This will allow us to focus on planning the program etc . After July 10th , 2009 please contact MGM resorts directly if you require rooms.This notice is only for people who want to stay overnight at the resort.

 I will continue to collect the Demand Drafts for the event from everyone. Please email me or post comments in the blog if you have questions.

Chumps not Champs

It must be difficult for cricket lovers to see India lose in the T 20 world cup. All sorts of blame and excuses are going around.  The main excuses are ;   the Indian  players were tired  after the IPL season;  Dhoni and Shewag had a rift going on between them. Now Dhoni has come out saying fatigue was not a factor. Don't know what to believe in.

 Indian fans reacted in the way they know best; they burnt effigies of Dhoni and friends. My opinion- maybe after the players appear in more than 5 different ads they should retire from cricket.

As for me, I haven't had much interest in cricket anyway and love field hockey more. The stories about hockey are not happy either. But the best thing about the IPL and the world cup is the series of Zoozoo ads made for Vodafone. One could check them out in You Tube.

The reunion planning is all set to go to the next stage ,which is stage 3 by the way. We are planning to meet soon to discuss the program content.

 I haven't had any submissions  for the top ten reasons to attend the reunion contest. Please write some comments if you read the blog. It will make me feel better.

Important Detail

This blog is to clarify a point. 

A few of our classmates wish to attend the Friday August 7th, 2009 event alone; due to practical difficulties or family circumstances.The participant fee  of Rs 1500/ person  will apply for those who plan to attend Friday alone. Payment via Demand Draft please.

This we have to  collect because we are collecting minimum charges for this reunion , but many expenses which  we did not anticipate are coming up. I hope this clarifies this issue. Feel free to email me if you have questions.

However people who are paying for the August 8th, 2009 event;  do not have to pay extra to attend the Friday event.
