A Close Shave

We should be glad that we had the reunion in August when it was still the old KMC. Walking through this construction site would not be nostalgic. I was alerted by Dr Rao and MPV of these changes to our old stomping ground. Its very hard for administrators to see  a nice garden  and  not imagine a big building in its place.  I wonder if they transplanted the trees. I wouldn't bet on it.

Glad you are back from Malaysia. How was your trip. Got any gossips about our thiruttu saamiyar.

As for KMC, I feel this change had to happen. With no maintenance for that place, it was looking dilapidated and hopefully our reunion in the next few years may be even more memorable.

    Happy Diwali, everyone.

Let us start the S**t again.

    regards

    Raghu

  2. Hi Raghu,

What a great trip it was in Malaysia. We had a great time with Naga and Mohanan. Malaysia has such natural beauty and also the best Tamil Pubs.

I will be posting some pictures soon. But we are in the process of starting a bank account so that we can raise money for the charitable initiative. I would like the blog to have more traffic before we start this.

  3. Hi Prabhakar
Thanks for you call from malaysia. Hope you a nice time. How is my friend? He is a fantastic host. My son still remembers the trip to Penang when he was only 5 years old. He still imitates how Naga used to talk.
I am glad i was able to see the old KMC. I agree with Raghu that KMC needs a big facelift for better.
I met Raghu and Latha last weekend. We had a nice time. I was describing about the reunion and also about her friends to latha.
Please let us know how we need to send the money for our charity.
    Regards
    Prem

Can you put in a word with the dean to allocate space for vit "p". We need to make a case for this. Now that all the greens have been taken over, we can get some plantation from Kodai and Kerala (heat resistant varieties)

    Benefits-
1.Will produce geniuses like class of 84, who will have to come back again and again. This will enhance medical tourism for KMC.

2.Create eco friendly zone which is the current international theme. Will contribute to reduction of ozone depletion

    3. Source of revenue for KMC to continue with the facelift, tummy tuck operations to its infrastructure. We can also set up a export blog for effective sale of the product.

the list goes on and on-----

    Try and see what happens.

  5. Sad to see the only green patch in KMC gone.

Raghu, I appreciate the humor in your suggestion for Vit. P, but don't you realise that the world can handle only one or two of the "Raghu/Naga " types & enabling to produce 100s of them on the campus would produce gross imbalance, however noble & "green" your intentions may be!

  6. Kalyani,
That would be a "grass" imbalance, not gross imbalance.

  7. Dear Friends
    In lighter vein

It is understandable Raghu and Co are worried about the green patch for the loss of green patch

  9. Hang on a minute

What do you mean by grass imbalance and world cannot take another raghu and naga?

I was only suggesting green peace revolution in a bald patch of land which is a divine thing to do. Lot of sanyasis need not go to afghanistan for meditation. Instead they can find peace in their green homeland. Also Vit P has therapeutic uses in several medical conditions including the most famous KKK syndrome (Kai Kal Kodaichal).

Paranoid minds only see the bad things about this divine and spiritual stuff. Anyway, next time when I go there I shall have a discussion over a pot (of tea) with the dean myself.

  10. Raghuram,

    I am appalled...

Are you seriously scheming to put 'the man with the monkey' out of business..?

  11. I think Raghu is looking at providing a permanent shelter at KMC for the man with the monkey. That would be his contribution to the charitable wing of our batch!!!

  12. Now I am glad to see people understanding my altruistic attitude for humanity. Glad Kalyani you have changed your mind about this scheme. I hope you are in agreement with my scheme.

May be we should get an A/C plant sited for these vegetations. They grow better in cooler climates. Can we divert the A/c plan to KMC please. I am sure MPV wouldnt mind. We do have the fire station in front of the garden to cater to the water needs. What a fantastic idea!!!!. The plot finally thickens.

Can we launder money for this scheme please. I could never understand what exactly it entails. May be this will provide us with an opportunity.

    Raghu

  14. Happy Diwali to you all, greetings I send
It’s about time, KMC needs to mend
All we ask is a piece of land to set aside
With Vit p we grow, we can take you for a ride
All our dealings will be above board
For we can sell them at Manickeswari road
It gives you a reason to Hang about
Vit P gives you so much fun without a doubt.
My thoughts may be beyond one’s understanding
With Vit. P we shall hope for a smooth landing
We will work with the Dean Arm in arm
If he lets us grow the Vit. P Farm

  15. Kalyani- run,shout and scream..
Raghuram has pulled you into his scam/scheme.

Banu needs a little tutoring on this theme,
Raghu is bent on boosting universal self esteem.

Are Swamiji & co ready for their 'dum maro dum'?
I'm still waiting on input from our Ramzi rum.

Philanthropism and altruism thro' VitP farm,
Lofty ideas : How big a role for M with the M?

  17. All I want to do is to brace the winter with grace
Without Vit.P, I happen to lose my face
Warmth and Vit P go hand in hand
We can call ourselves a green peace band
To condemn Vit P, people live in a glass house
I remain used to violence, living with a violent spouse
The opportunity is ripe so let’s get a move on
Before the buildings rise and the opportunity is gone
Banu, I agree you need tutoring on this theme
A short fling with Vit P, you will join the team
Meena has come out with short and sweet note
I suspect she is carrying it (Substance P) in her winter coat
So let’s join together for this noble cause
Hope Prabhakar will negotiate, since he is the boss

However close the shave may be or whatever be the make up for a new face lift be for our KMC or for we KMCians, sure there will be more growth of more 'grass' which may not need any 'vit'!
