Why this silence?

Some of you may wonder why there is no news about the venue booking,  etc. Our group ( MP Viswanathan, Vasanthy and myself) have been quite busy with our work and families. 

However we are working on this reunion actively. We visited some potential sites and will announce the venue and the cost shortly. We are sorry about the delay. But great ideas are pouring in and we will be delegating work for those who would like to help. 

So please continue to watch this space.

Lost, not found

Snail mail letters were sent to about 40 our classmates , yet to be contacted. Apart from 2 letters which was returned to sender I have been out of luck. Its been about 3 weeks since I sent the letters. So please go over the list and let us know if you have any information on our batch mates. Thanks.

Important - About venue booking

As all of you know we are planning to book the venue soon. We need to know exact numbers soon . So please let me know if you are planning to attend and the number of people attending.

We need a quick response to this  and please include the ages of the children attending , since the rates vary for the 3 -11 age group.

I am also emailing this  and we will be calling the batch mates who prefer cellphone technology.

The First Meeting

Few weeks ago Murali, Vasanthi and myself (Prabhakar Devavaram) met at Radha Inn to discuss reunion plans. Murali suggested the 1400 hrs time for lunch and was in a good mood when he arrived. Soon we found out that his happiness could be explained  by the fact that he had  a timely lunch before meeting us. Anyway it was good to have this meeting.

These are the issues we discussed.

1) Creating a website

 So we have created this blog and can be accessed by typing    http://www.kmc1984reunion.blogspot.com 

In future all announcements will be via this blog , so please bookmark this website. I will send group emails and Viswanathan will be sending group SMS to cellphone users  about new entries. This is an open blog so you can post comments very easily and create a discussion board. 

Please let me know if you have any problems.

2) Booking venue- this should happen shortly. Murali is working on this. After this will work out costs.

3) Contact our batch mates. We were unable to contact about 40 friends and have sent letters to their addresses given in the address book. So as we plan, we will continue to contact all our friends. Will release the names in my next posting.

4) As mentioned before the main meet is on August 8th, 2009 in the evening.

Also Priscilla is working on a photo project which will be released during the August meeting , so kindly help us in this initiative.
